West Linn Select is for the player who is looking for a higher degree of competition. The team is coached by the WLHS Coaching Staff.
Players are required to have met all requirements for their rec teams before participating in any Select events. This includes attending practices, games and being in good standing financially with the West Linn Boys Youth Lacrosse Club.
We will select a roster of 20-23 players after tryouts are completed. Most years we will also select an alternate or alternates at each position. Alternates are invited to all practices, but they do not play in games unless they are notified by coaches that they are needed to fill-in. It does seem that every year we have at least one alternate that ends up being call upon to fill-in at an event, so being selected as an alternate is very important and should not be looked on negatively.
